About the Festival:
Experience the power of creative aging at Emerge!—a juried festival of visual art, performance, and storytelling by older adult artists. In honor of the Hannan Center’s centennial theme, “100 Years Unbound: The Power of Aging,” the festival showcases 175 works from both emerging and established creators (ages 55 and above) across metro Detroit. Expect a diverse range of art forms, including painting, sculpture, spoken word, live performance, and an interactive art project that proves creativity has no expiration date.
