Make announcements to classes in the HCSL

Skills Needed:
  • Must possess good oral communication skills
  • Must possess good comprehension skills

Assist HCSL Registrar with registration activities

  • Sign-up students for parking and distribute parking tags
  • Help new exercise registrants fill out exercise waiver
  • Assist registrants with signing-up for various HCSL classes
  • Assist registrants with filling out registration cards
Skills Needed:
  • Must be willing to follow directions
  • Volunteers will possess good communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Must be able to comprehend written material at a 10th grade level
  • Must be able to work in a fast and accurate manner
Other Requirements: Volunteers will attend one hour training session before registration period begins.

  • Volunteers will welcome new seniors to the HCSL, answer questions, inform new seniors of rules and policies
  • Volunteers will inform and direct new HCSL senior to Registrar's office for registration

Skills Needed:

  • Satisfactory oral communication skills
  • Possess a friendly disposition

Assist with special events such as health fair, Cyber-Senior Conference and other special activites

  • Register participants
  • Distribute hand-outs, name tags, etc.
  • Collect evaluation sheets
  • Provide directions and information to participants of events
Skills Needed:
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess patience

Volunteer will photograph HCSL special events and HCSL Seniors (with permission)

Skills Needed:
  • Proficiency in basic digital photography
  • Ability to use Photoshop or other similar program
  • Flexibility in performing duties
