Celebrate the creative spirit of education in Artists Who Teach and Their Students, a dynamic exhibition showcasing the dual legacies of Detroit’s art educators and the young minds they inspire. Featuring vibrant, multi-generational work curated by Richard Reeves, this exhibit highlights the powerful relationship between teaching and creating.
Presented by the Detroit Art Teachers Association (D.A.T.A.) in honor of the Hannan Center’s 100th Anniversary, this intergenerational collection proves that great teachers don’t just instruct—they create, mentor, and ignite lifelong artistic journeys.
🎨 Opening Reception: August 2, 1–4 PM
Come meet the artists, enjoy light refreshments, and celebrate the future of art in Detroit.
