Urban Requiem Project | A Tribute to Detroit’s Culturally Rich History
May 6 – May 22, 2024

A cross generational retrospective between Hannan Center and Detroit School of Arts. This collaboration features the study and artwork students and elders created together while examining the culturally rich history of Detroit.

Also featured is Detroit reflections through Hannan Center’s art therapy Daybreak Program, and artwork from many other local artists.

The ‘Urban Requiem Project’ is made possible by grant funding from the United Way of Southeastern Michigan.

Announcing the First Biennial of Queer Art Taking Place in Detroit During Price Month 2024
‘I’ll Be Your Mirror: Reflections of the Contemporary Queer is a month-long exhibition featuring over 170 artists and over 800 works spread across 12 Detroit venues – plus film screenings, artist talks, live performance, panels, and poetry readings.
