As part of WDET’s program of community outreach, producer Mike Blank and the Hannan House have been collecting and producing oral histories from senior citizens throughout the region. This collection focuses on Seniors’ contribution to communities through volunteering.
Marian Stephens is a retired educator. She is a strong advocate for children’s education and art programs. She has done a variety of volunteer work and held several leadership roles throughout her life. She was a Girl Scout leader for ten years, president of her area’s block club, and a member of the board of the Virginia Park Citizen’s District Council.
